CROPORC
Launching an AgriTech Mission

Startup Website Design
CROPORC is an agritech startup from Kochi, Kerala, with a disarmingly big goal: wipe out hunger, one harvest at a time. Its model combines aeroponics, plants grown in air with precision-misted nutrients, with IoT sensors, AI optimisation and machine learning to grow up to four times more food on a fraction of the land and up to 95% less water. The name stands for Cultivated Real Organic Products of Real Character, and the company positions itself as a movement for farmers, investors and food-security advocates rather than a vendor. Huettun Labs took CROPORC from mission to launch: brand consultancy and positioning, UI/UX design, and a Next.js website with a Supabase back end for enquiries, articles and an admin area, delivered on a startup timeline and budget without giving up the polish of a funded company’s site.
The challenge Pre-launch deep-tech startups have a credibility problem: a serious mission, a complex technology stack and no products or customers to show yet. CROPORC needed a brand and website that explained aeroponics, IoT, AI and machine learning to three very different audiences, farmers, investors and advocates, in one scroll, that felt like a technology company rather than a charity, that would rank for agritech and food-security searches from day one, and that the founders could run themselves, publishing articles and answering enquiries without a developer. It had to be built fast and cheap, without looking either.
Brand consultancy (Huettun Labs) A name that is also a manifesto. CROPORC expanded to “Cultivated Real Organic Products of Real Character”, with “Farming Redefined” as the tagline and “Wipe Out Hunger. One Harvest at a Time.” as the mission line. Movement, not vendor. Positioning built around “A Movement for Everyone”, with three audience paths: For Farmers (“Grow More With Less Land”), For Investors (“Back the Next Green Revolution”) and For Advocates (“Champion Food Security”). Four pillars. The technology story structured as four interlocking pillars, Aeroponics, IoT, AI and Machine Learning, each with a one-line promise and a proof label, so a complex stack reads as a system. Values. Radical Accessibility, Science-First, Mission Over Margin and Open Collaboration, written to guide product and partnership decisions as much as the website. Evidence-led tone. Claims anchored to sources, from the FAO’s 733 million hungry people (2024) to IJRA’s water-saving figures, so the voice is urgent but checkable.
UI and UX design (Huettun Labs) Visual system. A near-black green canvas with lime-green primary, pale-green text and chartreuse accents, the colours of a grow room at night. Fraunces, a soft variable serif, for display headlines and Manrope for interface and body text, loaded as self-hosted variable fonts. Homepage. Hero with “The Future of Farming is Here” and two calls to action (Discover Our Technology, Partner With Us), a keyword ticker, a Live Operations status strip, the four-pillar Technology Stack, animated count-up impact numbers, a mission quote, the three audience cards and a latest-articles section. Motion. Framer Motion reveals and scroll-triggered counters that bring the data to life without slowing the page. About. Story, mission and vision, the four pillars in depth, the values and a “Ready to Be Part of the Green Revolution?” call to action. Contact. A segmented enquiry form (Farmer, Investor, Advocate, Media, Research, Other) with promised response times per audience, headquarters, phone and email. Blog and admin. A Knowledge Hub for articles with a dynamic article template, and a restricted admin sign-in for the team to manage content and enquiries. Legal. Full privacy and terms pages written for an IoT platform that will collect sensor telemetry, not boilerplate. Accessibility. Descriptive alt text on every image, semantic headings and a 16px input baseline that prevents iOS zoom on forms.
Website development (Huettun Labs) Framework. Next.js App Router with prerendered pages served from Netlify’s edge, next/image optimisation with lazy loading, and next/font for zero-layout-shift typography. Design system. Tailwind CSS with a token-based theme (background, foreground, primary, accent, muted, card, border and ring variables) so the dark palette is one file away from a light mode. Back end. Supabase for enquiry submissions, article storage and admin authentication, with a password-protected admin panel excluded from search engines. SEO foundations. Canonical URLs, keyword-led titles and meta descriptions on every page, Open Graph and keyword metadata, five structured-data types (Organization with contact point and social profiles, WebSite with SearchAction, WebPage, SoftwareApplication and BreadcrumbList), an XML sitemap and a robots policy that keeps the API, build assets and admin out of the index. Security. HTTPS with HSTS on Netlify, admin routes gated by authentication.
Results A startup with no customers yet launched with a brand, a message architecture and a website that reads like a funded technology company. Three audience journeys, farmer, investor and advocate, each with its own call to action and enquiry type routed to the team. Search-ready from launch, with structured data, sitemap and metadata on every page. A content and enquiry back end the founders operate themselves.
